Meet the Team

Dieter Foerstner: Master Brewer
Dieter Foerstner joined Hap & Harry’s as Master Brewer, head of production, in 2017. The charismatic Master Brewer brought more than 10 years of professional brewing experience to the Nashville-based brewery. A native of Arizona, Dieter graduated from the Master Brewers program at UC Davis and quickly moved to Head Brewer for Gordon Biersch.
In 2012, Dieter moved to Los Angeles, where he assisted in the reopening of Angel City Brewery. Dieter then took his talents to a passion project: the re-opening of Tivoli Brewery in Denver, CO. He also worked together with Metropolitan State University of Denver to establish and create a new degree of brewing curriculum.
When not working his butt off at the brewery, Dieter enjoys going to shows, travel, collecting hats (he’s a devotee of hatWRKS in Nashville), and spending time with his wife and toddler daughter.

Pops: Head of Transportation
More than a truck, Pops is part of the family. And any classic Chevy worth its salt aspires to be like him – fully restored to the glory of his younger days and traveling Tennessee’s beautiful country roads with a bed full of Hap and Harry’s. If you hear the sweet hum of his 235 straight six growing louder, you know a great experience isn’t far behind.
